I sit there on top of the garden gate. I look around lonley. Where was Jess? She was supposed to be here...I held the ice cream in my hand firmly as it softly slithered down my cold hand. Making it colder. A shiver went down my spine as I felt the cold sensation tingle through my hand. I sighed sadly. As I heard beating coming from down the road. Could it be Jess?
I turned my head quickly to witness the site of my life. I saw a beautiful paint pony running towards me. Was it wild? Whos was it? Its hoof pattered agaisnt the strong pavement. I jumped of the fence quickly. Spreading my arms out as if to stop it somehow. Thats all I knew. It saw me wide eyed with fear. And halted as it came face to face with me.
I saw the fear burn in its soft choclate brown eyes. It must have looked into my eyes and thought of how calm they looked. Though my heart was beating inside my chest. "Shssh now...Everythign will be fine..." I coaxed it softly getting closer and closer with every inch. Until I had my arms around its neck. It didn't jump as I thought it would. As a matter of fact. It didn't do anything.
It was a girl. And a beautiful girl it was. She was a brown and white and black. She was stunning. Like she was painted by an artist, who had carefully picked a place and shape for each curve and twist of her markings. I studied her shocked with her makings. And they're we were...Standing in the middle of a deserted street. I'm hugging her neck tightly. As I rest my head on her warm furry shoulder. Then I remember my Ice-Cream I drew away quickly and licked it. As if to try and finish it.
As I lick i hear a snort. I look up to see the mare looking at me. Her ears flicked forward her eyes intrested as she watches me eating it. I look at her then the ice cream and see where she's getting to. "Oh. Ok...You need it more than me." I giggled putting it out to her.
She sniffed it eagerley at first. Unware as if it was going to jump out and try a rope round her neck. But after a while her muzzle got a tiny bit on it. She licked it and loved the taste licking the ice cream. She then finished it easily in the space of 2 minutes. Much faster than I could possibly ever do it.
I look around quickly. What was she running from in the first place? I peer round the side of her body to see nothing. No people at all. I sigh. Whatever it was it was gone. for the moment... Maybe she had a tatto? I cheked her whole body none. I lifted her hooves. She didn't have shoes. Maybe she was wild?
My herat lept at the thought. Well better get her out of the way. I walked to the gate and opened it. It was fortunate we had a big garden and shed. She could live in there until my parents find out. I thoguht quickly. She tortted throught the gate towards the grass. I smiled and closed and locked it behind her. S she couldn't get out. Now time to get to work.
I let her in the back quickly as she loped off around the garden. We had about 1 and a half acres. So I got to work. I went in the garage which kept our four rabbits. Tigger, Tori, Hammy, Kassie. There was about 20 bags of chippings. And the bags were at least 4 foot high and 4 foot across. I took two. Luckily the shed was split into two. One for Dad's workshop and one for nothing nobody ever went in there. So i opened the door and walked in. I ripped open one bag and lay it across the floor. Then the next soon I had a bed.
I looked out in the garden to see her grazing...She needed a name....Sally? No. Sasha? No. Spirit....That was it! Spirit! I looked down the garden. "Spirit!" To my suprise she lifted her head and trotted towards me. I led her into the shed and closed the door. Wathcing her over the top half...
